Did you know??
- Fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) affect up to 1 in 20 children.
- Over 90% of children with FASD have mental health care needs.
- Most people with FASD don’t receive an accurate diagnosis in their lifetimes.
This means you will likely have children with FASD on your caseload, but might not know it. This is challenging when most provider education programs don’t include training on FASD.
So, what can dedicated providers do to improve their care to their clients?
The FMF Connect Pro study offers accessible training to help! You can watch this video to learn more.
The FMF Connect Pro study is comparing two accessible training methods to help mental health providers recognize and support families of children with FASD.
Providers who participate in the study earn free continuing education credits for all sessions completed. Providers have access to an easy-to-use app and other resources to use with clients.
